Dino Dana The Movie is a theatrical length version of the popular Dino Dana tv show, filmed especially for release in museums and science centres. Developed as a companion piece for Dino Dana The Movie, Fossil Hunt AR enables fans of the movie to go on a virtual scavenger hunt to find dig sites and uncover dinosaur bones. Finding all the bones activated virtual dinosaurs that users could interact with on their device.

Using large vinyl floor stickers as AR markers, visitors to the Museum of Discovery & Science in Ft. Lauderdale, FL had to find and scan each marker to uncover a dig site. Through a variety of on-screen actions (digging, chipping, brushing) each user became an actual archaeologist by digging up dinosaur bones. Once uncovered, the actual dinosaur came to life.

Primarily a location-based experience, a selection of "at-home" dinosaurs were included so fans around the world could also enjoy the app.
